Tips When Answering Incoming Calls

They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but it only takes 60 seconds for people to make their first judgement when they meet someone and don’t think for a second that this doesn’t work the same over the phone. So, we thought we’d give you some simple tips on how to properly handle incoming calls. Who knows, the next call you get might be your next big sale!

1. Answer the telephone by the third ring - Answer the telephone or make sure your answering machine picks it up by the third of fourth ring. Don’t make the caller wait while the phone keeps ringing. It’s often hard enough getting them to call, let alone getting them to call back again.
